So a few years ago, I really messed up and didn't take school seriously. I'm past that now and have received great grades since then at a couple of new community colleges. I essentially have met all the requirements for UCSB's TAG agreement except one: because of my past poor grades it brings down my GPA significantly. So even if I get straight A's this upcoming Fall semester I'll have a 3.0. UCSB's TAG agreement now asks for a 3.2 overall GPA. Since the TAG is due all through the month of September will I still have time to get academic renewal before I have to submit the TAG? I need academic renewal to push up my GPA.

Academic renewal for me appeared on my transcript and affected my GPA 2 weeks after I applied. It made a dramatic difference. I Think the sooner you apply for academic renewal the better. Good luck.

Great! That’s good to know. Can anyone else offer any input on how long it took to get academic renewal after you applied for it?
