How long does it take for UC’s to respond to academic changes?

I was admitted as a transfer to UCLA (bio) with a 3.75 GPA and I got a C unfortunately in o chem 2, but an A in my other classes such as physics 2. My GPA dropped to a 3.70. None of these classes were required to transfer, but are apart of my major coursework. I reported the changes Monday, and I was wondering how long approximately it takes for them to get back to students? I imagine there’s a lot of files to go through on their end since the SIR date is June 1. I’m mostly asking since if in the event that I get rescinded, I want to SIR to a different UC.

A 3.75 to a 3.7 won’t matter. What did your provisional say regarding grades? Contact them if two Cs? One C? If you get below a B?

It’s unlikely you’ll get rescinded but should that happen and you haven’t SIR’d elsewhere you’re out. So you could SIR twice, forfeit $250 and wait until you hear and then drop one. That is allowed in these circumstances.

You waited too long to discuss this with them so you’re kind of in a pinch - unless your provisional says contact if 2 Cs. If that’s what it says you haven’t done anything in violation of the contract.

UPDATE: another person just had same issue, the C was in a req course. Their UCLA admission still stands. You might want to get more info from them. It was in UCLA transfer thread

They got back to me yesterday and my decision still stands  thank you so much!

Great news!! @sg1621
