I know it says 4,000 characters limit, but that's almost double my longest essays for my other colleges.

It's my safety so I don't want to rewrite an essay for it (I might tweak them) or spend the effort in adding a lot of information, but I will do it if I have to. However, I kind of have other essays to do so...Is it horrible if my essay only has 2,000 characters?

don't apply!!! c'mon man, save room for people like me who actually want to go to rutgers, but are borderline. i mean i hate these jersey kids who have a 1500 sats and 4.0 gpa and r going to apply there, but have no intentions of going there. i also hate the people that are applyin there just because they live in jersey but have no intention of going. save space for someone like me WHO ACTUALLY WANTS TO GO

I'm not one of those super kids who have a 4.0 gpa and in actuality it is my only safety (for now cause I will probably start adding like crazy later on because I'm paranoid). Besides I have plenty of friends last year who went to Rutgers cause they didn't get into anything else or didn't get enough money at other places so I might end up there. I would not even be super unhappy to go there; however, I am pretty sure I will get in. Thus my question...Anyway, good luck with getting in :)

Check out the Common Data Set for Rutgers. Essays have VERY little weight at Rutgers.
The last thing someone wants to read is pages of filler, so keep it short and don't worry.
