in dropped an entire semester because of heart failure. After the medical school of my University treated me and I felt better, I planned to go back to school on the doctors’ suggestions. At that time, I found out that because of dropping the semester I am no longer eligible for the financial aid. So I made Satisfactory Academic Progress appeal (SAP). I made the first SAP appeal about 20 days before the semester started. Then I got the refusal on the day after last day of add-drop. I was astonished. They said that I didn’t provide enough evidence. I had to pay out of pocket. For the following semester I made SAP appeal again a month before the semester began. But I was in fear of rejection. Since I didn’t get result before the add-drop date, I dropped that semester on that date. Although I got the result with approval on the following day after add-drop. The same thing happened in the following semester as well. Then again for the fourth time, I made SAP appeal 2 months before the semester began. This time I took the risk and didn’t drop the semester. It was approved and the result came in on the following day after the last add-drop date. My completion rate is still below the requirement. So for the coming semester, I made the SAP appeal about 3 months before the semester starting date. It’s been 2 months since my appeal and I have not got the result yet. As I contacted the financial aid, they said they have not started processing it. I’m uncomfortable to take risk again without getting the SAP result because I cant pay out of pocket. Does anybody know whether schools always provide the SAP result after the add-drop date regardless of when the appeal was made? I’m seriously tensed. Please help!!!
