how low of a GPA before I get in trouble?

currently I'm experiencing a MAJOR case of senioritis so here are my projected grades

HS:
AP Gov B
AP Stats C or B(don't know depends on the final)
Independent Study spanish B or A

Community College
Physical Anthro - A
English(highest level) B
Cultural Anthro- B- or worst case scenario a C+

will this get me in trouble?

as it stands I'll have at most a 3.33 uw and at the absolute worst case scenario I'll have a 2.83 uw

Sheez...what did you do man? Just make sure you have at least Bs (preferrably 85+)

actually I read somewhere that duke only cares if you have a b average... a 3.0

out in cali, the percentages don't matter, just the letter grade

so.......................... is it something to be concerned about?

i guess you just answered your own question.

What the heck, just study a little more dude and you'll be fine. No big deal, just tough it out

Yes, on the final transcript form it says Duke only looks at C's or lower...so you should be fine. :)

If you get a C in any class then they review it. I doubt they would undo your admit offer unless you got like straight c's or failed a efw classes though.

yeah I'd be careful about C's especially multiple C's. That final transcript form thing requires ur counselor to explain why u got a C in a particular course and senioritis would not be a good answer.

ok

so far, i'm looking at
B(or possibly a C, depending on the mood of the instructor)
C
A
B
B
A

incidentally, can someone email me the pdf file of the report which I need to give to my hs counselor before I graduate, pm me for email please

thanks.

bumparooo!

I wouldn't even be that concerned with Cs... if you had Ds or were failing, then you're in very good danger of having admissions resicinded. If you have one C or a few Cs or whatever, they may look it over, but won't do anything drastic.

I agree with bluestar7...

bumparooo?! jeez! :)

Yeah don't worry about the C's... I got a C in my final IB... they didn't think twice.

One C is fine. Multiple Cs may hurt if you were an impeccable student before.

I got 4As and 3Bs.

B in Bio 2 AP
B in Calc
B in Humanities (this one infuriates me lol)

What kind of explanation did y'all who got a C in your final transcript put? Basically a teacher screwed me and a lot of other people over last quarter, but I probably need better reasoning than that.

I didn't think you needed to give an explanation.
I'm sure I got a C in my final quarter of Calc in hs (I honestly don't remember, but yeah, knowing me and calc and my calc teacher, definitely a C) and I sure as hell didn't give any sort of explanation.

Honestly, I remember words of my guidance counselor... you got into Duke because of your great grades and many accomplishments. They're going to remember why they accepted you (and chose you over many other applicants) and a C will not make them think any less of you, put you in danger, etc.
