how many applications should i do?

<p>well so far my list contains nine schools..</p>

<p>i know that the why transfer to X is a very important essay.. so I think i should eliminate a few schools to improve those essays for the remaining schools.</p>

<p>my question is.. about how many top(top 10) schools do people apply to as a transfer. I know that most people here apply to 8-12 schools out of highschool.. but is this number the same for transfer here as well?</p>

<p>People generally apply to fewer schools as transfers. On CC, I think the 50% mid range for high school is 7-10 and for transferring it might be 3-4</p>
