Self-study? Can someone explain this to me, I’ve never heard of it! I’m guessing it’s just taking AP classes on your own, not through high school?
If that’s the case, where do you take them? I am interested in taking AP classes online.

TAKEN:
Freshman - AP Human Geography
Sophomore - AP World History

^^ It basically means studying the AP material on your own time, not by taking a class at school. You can buy textbooks and/or review books and supplement with online videos/courses. I don’t have much experience with this, but there are many, many threads here about self-studying APs. Good luck if you decide to self-study :)

I saw that you took AP U.S. History, AP Biology, and AP English Language. Those are the exact classes I was thinking about taking this coming school year. Can you tell me how difficult it was taking those three classes at the same time? Any advice? I’m not sure if I should take AP U.S. History or not.

Collegeboard allows you to take AP exams even if you don’t take classes at school. You can self-study using the prep books and take the exam. My school only offers three AP classes this year so I’m planning to self-study for most of my exams as well.

My school provides eight AP courses, but I can take some of them online or at a local college.
Freshman Year: None.
Sophomore Year: None.
Junior Year: Calculus AB, Computer ScienceOnline, and United States History.
Senior Year: Chemistry, Calculus BCAt College, Political Science, and English.

I still have two blank spots for what I may want to fit in for my Senior year, which could both be AP classes, but this school year that is coming up will be when I become a Sophomore, so I still have a lot of time to make up my mind.
