look at some of the scores in the AP scores thread. One supposedly legitimate poster had 22 5's and 1 4.

i'm like a kid in a candy store when it comes to these....people thought i was nuts for taking 5 this year, 3 self studied plus other IB exams and stuff...but wait till next year; they're gonna try to euthanize me :) i have IB HLs, but i really plan on taking AP World hist, art hist, macro econ, micro econ, us govt, comp govt, studio art, and maybe physics B too, if time permits....

wow...good luck?

4 is max you can take w/o scheduling conflicts, but I would never take more than 4. it's very hard.

by my school's policy, you are only allowed to take 4 ap classes at the most b/c we only have 7 periods. by junior year, you are also required to take ap english so you can only choose 3 other aps each year. Also, the only aps you can take before jr year is language or calc if you skipped a level. but they dont have a rule against self-studying. for people who do self study, do you do it because you actually want to learn the subject or just to beef up your apps?

My school doesn't have max. APs, so I took 8 APs junior year and 8 APs senior year. It's not bad at all as long as you manage your time wisely. I had 14 exams this year, though, because I took both AP and IB exams- that was kind of crazy.

im taking

spanish
english
ab calc
economics
govt

gxing, do u mean classes or exams? I'm sure your school will let you take as many exams you want, not sure bout classes (schools can be weird)

vtran, i mean exams. my school only offers 3 ap classes junior year, but i'm self-studying for 2-3 more.

uhh... i called my high school today... got my scores...

i got nine 5s and a 3 (spanish language)...six more 5s from the last two years... im disappointed about spanish... oh well.

wow, firebird, congrats!

Some of you are taking an unreal amount. Do you have lives?

Yes, but it's nice to have a lot of college credit; I've gotten rid of most of my pre-requisites thanks to AP exams.

No need to be rude, ryan. A lot of people here are just really smart, efficient, and yes they probably do put in quite a bit of work. No life though, I doubt it.

well self study in senior year is no longer question of beefing up apps. i won't be able to take classes for those ap's, but it's nice to know lots of things by the time you get to college. like a little liberal arts education in itself, in the meantime. self study is actually not nearly as hard as taking a class.

im taking 7 next yr just to make up for my abysmal gpa :(

Dang, sleepisabliss, your school offers a lot of APs

Our school offers a total of 13 APs, and only 6 periods. 5 APs at our school is the MAX for even our valedictorian.

I took 4 this year and it wasnt that bad, and 4 more next year.
