How many MUNers do we have here?

I know I'm one.

Do you guys participate in MUN? If so, how many awards have you received?

I got robbed at my most recent conference at TechMUN.

Uhh what’s MUN

I think it might be Model UN, but I have no idea what goes on there

Lol eww model un-ers. :stuck_out_tongue: I’ll never understand why you guys kill yourselves with mun work.

They basically just like talk about problems in the world and propose solutions. Or a simulation of a United Nations conference.

So basically they do nothing?

hey, MUN work is fun. Besides, getting to pummel your fellow delegates with proper parliamentary procedure is fun

ILMUNC 2010!!! Mexico all the way.

Lol like I said, I’ll never understand you mun-ers.
Well I wouldn’t say they do nothing. They do get the experience of working with others and coming up with legit solutions to problems. But other than that that’s really it.

I really wanted to go to an IVY League MUN conference, but my MUN program is broke.

Yea. I’m going to a conference on Thursday/Friday.

If you want to help me a prep a bit you can sooo shoot me a message! Ha.

I may do MUN next year. Depends on whether it will clash with my DECA stuff.

If you ever get the chance, you must go. There is a reason it is considered to be the best in the world.

I have a conference next week saturday. I almost went to NAIMUN this year.

NAIMUN is overrated.

all my friends loved it.

On the other note, what’s your favorite committee? I hate the GAs mostly.

I liked the UNEP a lot but got stuck with DISEC this year. I don’t participate too much though.

I can run DISEC like a master. I got thrown into UNSC at one conference at George Mason University. As the UK, with no veto power. My partners from the same school deserved an outstanding minimum but we always get stuck with crappy chairs.

I had to skip two sessions this year to avoid being called for a point of personal attack.

I heard the parties are nice

he said meekly from the corner
