<p>So I'm obsessed with MUN. I don't know if it's a regional thing, but in NOVA It's a huge deal.</p>

<p>I just got made the Sec-Gen of my school, and it's awesome. We got our MUN Cords for next year, blah blah exiciting stuff:)</p>

<p>Is anyone else out there a MUN'er?</p>

<p>Only 2 Gavels under my belt (Out of 20 something conferences) so definitely not a perfect record.</p>

<p>What are you favorite committees/cabinets? I got for IAEA (2 Gavels!!) or Islamic Cabinet (I have a lot to say about that).</p>

<p>I <3 MUN. I’ve been to two conferences, Princeton and John Hopkins. </p>

<p>I’ve been on SOCHUM for PMUNC and DISEC for JHUMUNC. No awards, but I had fun.</p>

<p>I have to say, DISEC was my favorite.</p>

<p>I < MUN. What school? I have yet to go to an Ivy Conference. no gavels out of 3 conferences this year, but one Honorable Mention.</p>

<p>I love Disec, and UNSC. </p>

<p>We’re preparing our IBMARC conference.</p>

<p>I won a Gavel at BIMUNC and FAIMUN for IAEA. I won Honorable Mention at PWMUN and CHMUN.</p>

<p>We attented JHUMUN This year, it was SOOOO AWESOME!</p>

<p>I’m looking forward to going to W&M MUN along with Duke MUN next year.</p>

<p>As SecGen, I have A LOT of changes in mind. </p>

<p>What region are you guys in?</p>

<p>I’m in VA, which probably means that no one knows the MUN conf.'s I’ve been too haha.</p>

I know all of those conferences, GF decides not to go.

<p>You must know about that DC Summer MUN’ers Conference, 2 weeks of sheer debate:)</p>

<p>But I can’t go because I have to go to Gov School.</p>

<p>And that’s definitely NOT a topic I should be complaining about, I’m prety fortunate that I got in haha.</p>

<p>lol, we do MUN at community college and my high school always bring a lot of jocks and we make complete @$$es of ourselves. But we have a hell of a time…never win anything, but we irritate the hell out of the people who take it seriously by voting down their resolutions and stalling, etc…</p>

<p>@coollege, I love it when you’re done with evaluations and can just goof off. Like at PWMUN, the IAEA was just like “Iran’s stupid, let’s just get rid of it” And that was what our position paper was about. It was AWESOME!</p>

<p>At BIMUNC, we decided to nuke everyone at the end with a $3,000,000,000 budget.</p>

<p>Like it’s in conjunction with the Senate. You watch debates in the UN (usually over tape) and then reproduce those at nearby DC Schools (It’s a different school every week). It’s all about like Iran and the Mid-East (That’s the topic this year). It’s really easy to get in during the summer, but harder during the year. Not a lot of kids are into MUN like that, and it’s only open to DMV students, so it’s like a group of 20. It’s not a renowned program, just something fun to do during the summer.</p>

<p>My brother did it, he just used to ride down on the metro and he had a blast. It’s hosted by an inner-city school.</p>

<p>I just did Genetics because we take like a billion field trips to UVA and Tech.</p>

<p>But yeah, I don’t think I’ll get my first choice because it’s based on highest GPA and stuff.</p>

<p>Did anyone here go to HMUN this year? Aside from encountering some major creepers at the delegate dance, it was a really fun conference.</p>

<p>@spieluhr, I did DISEC, it was rather large though, so I didn’t recieve any awards.</p>
