How many of you believe in God?
God is the king of kings, of course!
That’s pretty self-contradicting. You just juxtaposed religious and royal absolutism right there.

I'm pretty sure my immediate family is athiest. However, I am agnostic...
though I believe in fate

what sort of behavior are you referring to trancestorm, self-glorification? He, as a God, has every right to claim his glory
Why does god deserve to be the king of kings any more than I do?
LMAO at you. Justinian, I dont see why you are responding to this dude. He's crazy.
Everything has an origin. What is god's origin?
Why do you care? You dont believe in God. we cant tell for sure if God has an origin, but lets just say that its beyond out realm of thinking :)

God never had a beginning and will never have an end. This is cumbersome to explain, but this is because he is God. You should not be the king of kings because you are not God.

If all of god's ways are good and right, should we not follow his example?

If god is self righteous and prideful, should we too not be like that? That is unsustainable, because there is no way man and god can both be arrogant and coexist.

I know business_boi, I am foolish to debate with this person, for he will never change his belief. He almost sounds as if wants to put himself in place or above God. I just have a habit of debating everything :)

Business Boi:
Why do you care. You dont believe in God. we cant tell for sure if God has an origin, but lets just say that its beyond out realm of thinking.

I am accepting his premise of the existence of god as a formality in order to discuss the framework of religion; a common technique in philosophical discussion.

True enough, i may be crazy, but you still have not showed me why this "god" deserves power more than i do; assuming he is an autonomous individual as you say.

Justinian and Business_boi, you both are taking the easy way out. You are delibrately misinterpreting what trance is saying. Trance uses "I" as a collective "I."

So let me rephrase for him/her. If we are to live by God's ways (which Christianity says we should, Justinian, since you don't know much about Christianity), then why should we not be self-glorifying and prideful?

I too have a habit of debating. It is also true that i value myself above any god because the moment an individual loses or surrenders his sovereignty of mind and intellect to the abstraction of a thought like god, he perpetuates his own ignorance.

God is entitled to his 'pride' because of his superiority
we are not as we are inferior
Jesus teaches us to be humble. if God wanted us to be hubristic, he would have instructed otherwise.

Why then would god create us to be prideful and to strive to attain power and a status similar to his?

Why then was Jesus, the son of god, not entitled to som eof the same pride; he was certainly superior to the common man.

Since when did humans strive to attain a status similar to God himself?

Please back this up, and don’t tell me because God is God.

haha i know it's not a satisfying answer... but to answer all of your questions i can only answer from a christian perspective in which you really have to believe in him, and not just a 'makeshift faith' for the sake of debate.

Goldfish, I dont think God has "pride" in Himself.

yes i agree, 'pride' isn't the best way to term it. God thinks of us as our friend, and provides us with boundless grace and love. He in return asks us for our faith.

Perhaps i am reading this the wrong way, but if you think my faith is makeshift, then you are mistaken.

This is the way I live my life, day to day, decision to decision. I am not unexperienced in religion either. I grew up christian, converted to hinduism, turned buddhist, and then achieved the faith that i have.

Wow. How did you go from Christian to Hindu?
