How many of you have applied to the UC's (University of California)?

Can you please tell your scores and which campus(es) you applied to? I applied to UC Berkeley and UCLA.
Thanks.

Hey there! I’ve noticed that you’re an international applicant. First of all, I admire your bravery to take the time and apply to these ridiculously difficult schools! Having said that, you are stepping outside of your comfort zone, and I think no matter where you attend the next 4 years of your life, you’ll be successful in all that you do. So, I would stop worrying about others test scores and this and that and focus on YOU. And, how YOU can become a better applicant.

By the way, I’m also applying to Berkeley, LA, San Diego, and Davis. My dream school is Berkeley!

The one thing that I would recommend focusing on is your personal statement. I know the UC’s say that the personal statement isn’t the only deciding factor, but it can literally make you or break you. I know a friend who had exceptional test scores, extracurricular, and awards to the point that he was so confident that Berkeley would accept him. What ends up happening is, he writes a personal statement about the most cliche topics. Of course, Berkeley denies him. Lesson of the story: don’t be over-confident and arrogant and certainly don’t let that show on your apps. Also, make your personal statement unique to you, not just a story about the sacrifices your hard-working parents have done for you so that you could live a better life. You get the point.

Good luck on your college apps! PM me if you have any other questions. Happy to help.

Thank you so much @CalShaikh . You’re right! My seniors also had ruined their personal statements before… and they didn’t get in! They really had good scores and were extremely good achievers! I hope my personal statement saves me! Fingers crossed!
