How many questions should I omit??

i wanted to get to the high 600s for the Critical reading sections. Right now, i omit around 2 (per section) and get 4 (per section) wrong. Should I omit more or less?

Also, how many should i omit for the 700’s on the Math section?
how many should I omit for high 600’s on the writing section?

@Peoples It really depends on the curve. When I took the SAT, on Math I omitted one question and got everything else right, and I got a 750.

I think my friend who omitted one and got one wrong got a 720.

What it depends on is how many answers you know.

Omit all the ones you don’t have a clue on… at least on the sections that carry a “guessing penalty.”

On the others (and on the new SAT) don’t omit any. Statistically you have nothing to lose by guessing.

I am not taking the new SAT but i just wanted an estimate

If you have at least 2 crossed down I’d say go for a guess, 0.25 doesn’t affect too much on your grades, and I personally think that the chances of you getting it correct (1/3) would be way more worth it. Just my personal opinion.

I’d say for math even guess if have the slightest clue as to what it may be, given the recent curves. For writing, omitting one/missing three gave a 750.
