???????????????????

I did one from my counselor. that's it. i was a very unmotivated applicant.

USC requires only one and it can be from either your counselor or teacher. Only turn in addtional recs if they will be EXCELLENT. Its better to turn in one excellent rec than two or more so-so recs.

hmmm thank you. So a counselor rec counts as a teacher evaluation for schools with 2 rec req's??

For some schools that use the common app it says that 2 teacher evaluations are required. Can the counselor fill out one of the teacher evaluations even though she already fills out a simlar form for the school report????

Are they actually writing a letter or jsut filling out the forms???

for usc, i only remember a form. they may have attached a letter, though...

when I was at their info session lately, the admissions person said they require only one, but that you can send more if you like. They do not have an actual limit. She also said that they would place more weight on a letter that really describes who you are than on one sent in just because it was from an important alumni connection, etc. if you choose to send extras. In other words-make it count. The required one needs to be from your guidance counselor or a teacher.

is the minimum of 3 letter of recs for School of CInematic Arts (film) separate from the regular admissions letter of rec? so 1 + 3? so a total of 4 recs?

maybe for that you could use a rec for regular admission and another one from the same person toward your three at the cinema school... i'm not sure though.
