<p>I think that most students apply to around seven schools.</p>
<p>^It’s also probably the type of students they’re looking for and the “fit”. Some people clearly belong in an LAC environment and others don’t.</p>

<p>Yeah that’s why I really want to get into Harvey Mudd, especially because they don’t have a graduate division, so professors can really focus in on the undergrads. Plus I like that they’re officially a LAC school, so I can take some courses outside of the math/science curricula that interests me.</p>
<p>^Not to mention you can also simultaneously take courses at all the other four Claremont colleges.</p>
