Can colleges tell how many times you took the ACT, even if you didn't submit all of your scores, or can they only look and see the ones you submitted?

Each time you take your ACT, the ACT company submits your score to your high school. Some colleges take your ACT scores off your transcript, while others ask that the scores come directly from the testing company. Some schools will tell you that they only look at the scores you send in, but I know they can see all the scores on your transcript too.

…What? Our ACT scores are never on our transcripts…

12

No you’re not understanding me…READ what I said. Can colleges tell how many times you take the ACT? Like if I scored 25 but then 29 and 31, can they see I took it three times, but only submitted one score?

Don’t what me! lol. Okay, so you THINK your ACT score is not on your transcript?

I’ve seen my printed and electronic transcript. Our school does not put it on there.

The way I understand it, when you take your ACT, your scores automatically get reported to your school. Now your school might record it on your transcript.
But to your original question: No, colleges can’t tell how many times you take the ACT if your school doesn’t record it on your transcript. ACT testing company does not release your information to any one or institution unless you request it.
