And when (like junior spring, senior fall, etc.)

Did your score increase a lot?

And when (like junior spring, senior fall, etc.)

Did your score increase a lot?

chemistry 1X
math 1 2X

SAT Reasoning 3X

(190 point increase from june to october)

3rd time was today.

I took the SAT reasoning test twice: December of junior year and June of junior year. My score only improved by 10 points XD And I randomly signed up for the ACT in June of my junior year as well and did much better on that so I didn't take the SAT again.

SAT 2x (2nd time today)
Math 2, Chem, Lit, Physics X1

sat x3
sat 2s x2

SAT Reasoning i took twice (280 pt increase)
SAT II math and physics; took each once

SAT Reasoning: 4 times (canceled one, so that left me with 2 scores; getting dec scores in 4 days. 1880->2270)
SAT Subject: 1 time (Math II and Biology; 790 and 770 respectively)

I took the SAT reasoning test in October of my junior year and November of my senior year. I went up 210 points - knowing what the experience would be like after having taken the test once calmed my nerves. I think that's what helped my scores more than anything else!

I took the SAT I once and completely bombed it. I did way better on the ACT, so I stuck with that.

I am in the class of '10
Up to now i have taken USH x2 (660,710) and am planning to take it 2 more times
math i took it twice (750, 780) and am planning to take it till i get 800
physics , i took it two times (700,740) and am planning to take it until i get 800
SAT I - two times (1920,1900) and am planning to take it every month till i get a 2380
chem- 700 ,750, same as math and physics take it till i get 800
i am SO THANKFUL that i am in the class '10

I took them twice. My scores were much higher the second time (1890 vs. 2120).

I'm still going to take the ACT...I'm curious as to how I would do on it!

Just a heads up, I know a girl that was denied admission to a school she should have gotten into because she took the SAT too many times for their taste (I can't remember if it was 4 or 5). Granted, this is just one story, but you should be aware of it!

SAT x2 (jan of soph year, fall junior year) planning on taking it again fall of senior year
Not that i'm really disappointed with my score..I'm quite pleased with it but I think i can make a 100+ improvement next year. Don't think I did as well as I could've you know?

Math II x1 (taking it again)

US History x1

Planning on taking:
Chem
Lit
(just once though..math was a special case haha)

That doesnt seem like too much though does it?
Because the dates for my SATs are really spread out. I bascially take it every year because you really do learn alot each year just by being in school and whatnot.

Keep in mind that the "Score Choice" policy that Collegeboard is now offering only applies to schools that allow this option.

Many colleges do not like the idea of an applicant hiding his/her scores and ALL SAT scores will be sent to them.

SAT I: up 270 total (up 40 and then up 230)
SAT II: Lit:1, US History: I, Math I: 2x, but don't know 2nd score yet

Took it twice, Jan 08 (soph) and Dec 08 (junior). Waiting for December scores.

poor, poor, poor choices

this, of course, is a personal opinion that has been compiled after speaking with SEVERAL admission reps and other CCers.

These actions elucidate an overemphasized concern for mere numbers, leaving admissions reps (and everyone else for that matter) to question your sanity. These numbers weaken your overall personality, which will negatively impact your chance at acceptance.

Being a perfectionist can be a good quality for an applicant to possess but in this case nononononono way will taking a SAT II USH exam 4 TIMES help you in your quest for college admittance.

I took the sat once and then I saw the light
the light = ACT

I really don't think taking SATs every month can improve one's score to a 2380 from a 1900... Its already hard enough breaking 2300, even with a score of 2100+

SAT I:
5/08 - 2160
10/08 - 2330

SAT II:
Math 2 - 6/08 - 800
USH - 6/08 - 800
Chem - 6/08 - 780
