How many waitlisted people get in?

Topic question. :(

It’s totally dependent on how many people accept the offer of admission. You can see numbers for the last few years at the Common Data Set ([MIT Office of the Provost, Institutional Research](<a href=“MIT Institutional Research”>MIT Institutional Research)), but the number who are admitted off the waitlist this year will depend on the number of admits who decide to come.

Looks like 6% of last year’s wait list (35 kids…) ended up going.

Meeeeeh.

Hmmm, it says that the waitlist isn’t ranked, so do they go through all those apps again or something?

Yes, they do.

If they find they need to go to the waitlist, they’ll have another day of selection where they go through and discuss everybody’s application again.

OUCH! Dan I told you Haverford was your best bet! Either that, or come to NYU with me! haha

DMOC, did you know your name is the same as Dark Magician of Chaos, a yugioh card?

YuGiOh!!!

Christiansoldier - you’re the first person to realize that my name is an acronym of that card. Congratulations! :D

NP you said I would get rejected from MIT. So I proved you wrong.

Do you think you could use your effect to get me Premature Burial? I would totally use it on MIT right now.

I don’t want to pay the Life Points. Sorry.

EDIT: Whoops. Forgot what the effect was.

GETTING INTO MIT?

Okay fine you win, I was wrong. PM me your application essay. You better post your essay on the MIT board like I posted my essay on the NYU board.
