Not on my end. Mid June is…well, right about now, so we should be getting an email about the waitlist closing very shortly. Good job on holding out, everyone, but I don’t think it’s going to work out for any of us unfortunately. There’s still a couple more days to go, though! Cross your fingers. And arms, legs, toes, eyes, heart, etc.

Just a small update, I sent an email to the office about a recent award I got and they told me they’re still looking at their wait list as other overlap schools are still perusing theirs. As of now, they “still have a full class, but that can change.” And of course, the fact that they will definitely notify by email once the list is closed.
I agree with Dedede in that it doesn’t look very hopeful for us, especially since they made it clear they have a full class. The chances of anyone from the Class of 2015 giving up their spot at this point looks very slim.
Hope this helped anyone who wanted something a bit more substantial!

I have my own update as well. I called the admissions office to ask about the waitlist, and I was told they’re waiting to hear back from a few students who were offered spots off the waitlist. The woman I talked to said that based on what those students decide they may admit a couple more students, but she said that they’ll probably close the waitlist in a week or so.

aww, well it’s all over everyone. i just received an email from Admissions that announced the wait list is now closed. surprisingly, i’m really not upset. i was so disappointed three months ago, but now i am more than happy to enroll at Colorado College in the fall. i feel like it’s where I was meant to be all along! I honestly feel that even if offered a place off the waiting list, I still would have chosen CC. Anyways, where is everyone else going to college here?

My daughter is going to Colby. Middlebury was her first choice (and still is), but she is very very happy with Colby. Her first semester with Colby will be studying in their program with Colby Students, in French, at the University of Burgandy, in Dijon, France, then she starts in Maine in January. This is not a bad consolation prize relative to getting into Middlebury. I think Colby and Middlebury are very similiar in many ways.

It sucks, but it is what it is. I’m heading to Connecticut College. Not excited at all but i’ll be fine.

that sounds great GDMACK! good luck to your daughter. colby is a fantastic school, and yes, i also agree it is very much like middlebury so i’m sure she will enjoy it. dedede, we’ve been through a lot of the same stuff this past few months. i’m sure you’ll grow to like conn college, it’s also a good school! although you could always transfer if you didn’t. even perhaps to middlebury?

Makes me so mad when I see so many bright kids who wanted Midd so badly but didn’t get in, especially when I read something like this:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/bowdoin-college/1165691-transfer-bowdoin-middlebury.html

This kid wants to transfer to Bowdoin when he hasn’t even set foot on Middlebury’s campus!
