So, what is everyone doing? Do you plan to stay on the waitlist? If so, what are you doing to convince Middlebury that it should accept you? I am not sure yet what I want to do...
Does anyone know if you are obligated to attend should you get admitted off the waitlist? Also, does anyone have an idea how many people were waitlisted and the chance of getting admitted off the waitlist? Judging by the decision thread, it seems like Middlebury waitlisted many applicants this year.

I was also waitlisted. I plan on staying on the waitlist (as Middlebury is my number one school) but as of right now I'm going to deposit at Bucknell. Oh and, you are not obligated to attend if you get accepted off of the waitlist. Best of luck to everyone.

um they didn't accept/wl everyone i know ppl who were rejected, and in 2004-05 they put 1266 ppl on the wl and 646 stayed on and then accepted 73 off the wl

I was waitlisted and I plan to remove my name from the list...I am not going to wait and then possibly waste a $500 deposit. Obviously Middlebury was not the right school for me... I have to decide between holy cross and St. Michaels.

i don't know if i should keep my name on waitlist. i am deciding between carleton and bowdoin right now (clearly bowdoin i think), and even if i get accepted to midd i'd still rather go middlebury but..

so basically you can matriculate to more than one school and just not go there? like..if you are on waitlist you have to matriculate somewhere else on May 1st..and you don't know if you get in wl until mid-june? so are you allowed to just forfiet the matriculation if you get in midd?
