4 years but came with it’s advantages, i did change my major twice, from criminal justice—>psychology----> Neuroscience (pre-med). I’m sure of what i want to do now, through all those years i found out what i wanted to do with my life and also matured a lot and am ready for what ever UC has to offer me.

5 years.

I’m an older student and have two jobs. Sometimes, I took 1 class per semester. However, I was able to do 4 REU fellowships in the past years, and, just as BigDreamsKid, I now know what I want to do with my life with certainty.

Dont feel rushed and take your time. Utilize your cc and the differenct programs being offered at ur cc.

2 years and I sort of changed what I wanted to do and didn’t get to use AP credit because of it.

3 semesters + a summer semester, 1.5 yrs?

3 years to finish all pre-reqs for EECS at UCB and CS at UCLA, and finish igetc for tag to UCSD. I definitely recommend finishing as many classes before transferring, especially GE courses even if they are not required to transfer. It is a lot cheaper and in the end I would much rather focus on my major after I transfer then take classes that I don’t really care about. Plus the more classes you take the more certain you will become that you are making the right choice; trying to change your major is a million times harder to deal with after you transfer.

Oh and I’ve taken 5 CS courses and 1 EE course and the only transfer credit I got out of all that is CS61B, but still really glad I did it because now I am going in feeling confident in my choice of major and that I will succeed at it

it took 6 years (on and off, wasant sure if college was right for me) to transfer to UCLA. I am now a math/Econ finishing my last quarter at UCLA (I am only spending 2 years at UCLA).

U are not ready to transfer to university, if u think JAVA is hard, wait till u stArt taking advanced c++ courses (dealing with classes). Try to take as many computing courses at The CC

Hopefully 1 year if admissions come back with good news!

I started off in one of the lowest math levels my CC offered (I did not know my math at all). Also, I started off in a very low English class. With that being said, I am a computer engineer major and this is my 4th year in CC and it took me this long to reach Linear Algebra and DE without failing a math class and consecutively taking a math class each semester.
I’ve only completed one cs course (visual basic) and Im currently working on JAVA (but most likely I will drop it if the universities allow it). I got accepted to a few universities including UCSC and CPP with a low GPA (3.23) but I think that was because I had ALL my physics, chem, and math finished. I could have transferred last year but I decided to finish the physics and math sequence at CC in order to be competitive. It definitely gave me the advantage.
In other words, If you think you should stay another year in CC in order to finish more classes, not to mention save a S*** load of money, I say you do it. The way I see it, completing more classes can only benefit you, not hurt you, right(unless you get C’s haha)? Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
