How many years of a language??

So I have taken Latin since 7th grade. I am going into my sophomore year and it is the last year I have to take a language. I am not very good at Latin and I hate it. Will it look bad on an application if I stop taking it?

It depends upon the colleges you are targeting. If the college recommends/requires that you complete level 4, then yes, you would be at a disadvantage when most of the applicants will have fulfilled the recommendation. If the college only asks for 2 years, then you would be fine.

You’re okay for most colleges but check with your reaches in case they want 4. All in all I’d wager you’re fine.

It will depend on the college and what your area of interest is. What will you do with the free period if you stop taking language? Is there another language you would be interested in?
