I have horrible SAT scores and I want to know how much I can improve from now til November. I'm studying about an hour a day on SATs using xiggis method focusing on math and writing.
CR 540 M 670 W 560

at least 80 points

i started at 1700, moved up to 1980 in 1.5 months using ****ty Barron’s 07-08 (i took test in 2010…) and i used Blue Book and never went over my CR, just W and M. And i never read Barron’s math portion either but just practiced math in the Blue Book. I also never took any Barron’s test.

I’m sorry to derail your thread, but I don’t want to make a new one. How much can I expect to raise this score:
710 CR, 740 M (only missed two questions), 780 W (only missed two questions)?

^ Usually when you miss two questions on Math, it’s at least a score of 760. When you’re missing such few questions on Math and Writing like that, it’s all a matter of how careful you are and how lucky you are.

710 CR…study your vocabulary well and just keep practicing and reading. You can probably get it to at least 740.

@OP I started at around 1800-1900 and am now around 2100-2200. BTW I’m only a 10th grader. Anything is possible.

Is everyone’s improved scores the ones that you got after taking collegeboard practice tests?

B/c i ran out of them, so I don’t know what other company’s tests would be a reliable and accurate indicator of my current score…

or do people just have extra collegeboard tests?

“or do people just have extra collegeboard tests?”

N00b. lol.
