How much chemistry is involved in AP Environmental Science?

I really do not like chemistry, and also did not do that well, but after reading the outline of ap environmental science I really like the subject. So how much chemistry related subject is involved?

Also, I have a friend that did not take chemistry but still wants to take AP environmental science, is that an ok thing to do?

bump

certainly someone took the class. input?

There's enough chemistry in the course that a person who has an intense dislike for chemistry will have a problem with it. APES is a combination of chemistry, biology, law, and several other disciplines. Many people confuse this course with a lower level "Environmental Science" course that is offered to those who wish to avoid chemistry.

It doesn't sound like it's the course for either one of you unless you are committed to learning the necessary chemistry. If you make that commitment, you should find the course rewarding.
