<p>Do they play any type of role in admission? I listed quite a few organizations and whatnot that I belong to on my application, but after reading a lot of threads, it seems as if they don't even take this information into account. Can you guys leave some input on this topic?</p>

<p>extracurricular activites are still considered but it's not significant like freshman applicants..</p>
<p>that depends how strong other aspects of your application are and what UC you are applying to. UCLA prefers to see someone overcoming hardships and working and such over ECs where as for berkeley some amazing ECs might really set you apart. However, the most they will give you is an extra 10% in terms of application portion unless you did something out of the ordinary</p>
