I'm in my first year of college trying to transfer out to Rutgers. My high school grades were ok, I had around a 2.8 GPA, but in college I have about a 4.0 GPA. I'm applying for next fall, so will my high school grades hurt my application badly?

It depends on where you want to go. Your high school grades will certainly be a factor but your college gpa will matter more if you've taken academically challenging (rather than fluff) classes.

well i wouldnt call my classes "fluff" classes. Since I'm a freshman there basic, English 101, Italian 101, Modern European History, Intro To Computer Tech, and Intro To Mass Communications
