if you got a bad grade in drivers education, like a C, and thats the only C you've gotten on your transcript, but you've got bascially an A in every honors and AP class, how does that affect your chances of admissions at universities?

You definitely won't get in if you can't drive. Driving is a prerequisite for entrance into the University of Chicago, you know.

i dont need the sarcasm you know. serious answers only please.

Well, can't you deduce that it probably doesn't matter all that much from the sarcasm, then?

I wonder what the average PE grade is for UChicago-ans.

If it makes a difference, the university strongly discourages undergrads from driving. And one C ever generally cannot be a problem.

If I were an admissions officer, though, it would look as if the student who had all As but a C in Driver's Ed--which is likely an easy course--just blew it off and didn't do the work. It wouldn't reflect positively on the student.

Having said that, I doubt it will be a major issue.

ha! i got a c in drivers ed and failed my license test multiple times. hahahahahahahahaha....... yeah they dont care

Yeah, I got a C in my drivers ed class and failed my license test twice. :(

I got an A and passed my license test ^_^

...Got 16/20 on the permit test, though -- barely enough. I don't drink, therefore I don't really care if this much wine will make me as drunk as that much vodka but not that much beer. Anybody my size would be drunk after the first two sips, anyway. Hooray for waifs...

And the only reason I came out of it with an A was because I wrote an essay that knocked my driver ed teacher's socks off. You guys would have loved him, I bet.

ramble-o-tron

Having an A in Driver's Ed or PE on your transcript is only required if you are a prospective engineering, business, or music performance major. :)

A Driver's Ed grade is not worth fretting over. Really ;-)
