<p>(I didn't get any replies to this post on the Search & Selection forum, so I thought I'd try asking here.)</p>
<p>The Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications (ACEJMC) lists a seemingly small list of accredited journalism programs. Many are within state universities.</p>
<p>As a prospective Journalism major who is potentially double majoring in another social sciences field, I would like to know how important this accreditation should weigh in on picking a college.</p>
<p>Is going to a less prestigious state university that's accredited a better choice than going to a more prestigious university that isn't?</p>
