<p>It depends on when you submit your FAFSA form. Be sure to fill it out ON January 1st. Typically, you are told the new FAFSA form will open on the 2nd but I always fill it out after going out on NYE and before I even go to bed. Check work study even if you don’t know if you want it because you will not be considered if you check maybe or I don’t know or whatever the option is (I forget the wording for that option). CARE students are eligible for a grant that no other students are - First Generation Grant. This grant is worth $3000. My daughter got ~$10,000 in nonloan financial aid for her freshman year and that was with an EFC of ~$4000. Hope that helps.</p>
