I am a freshman in high school and I have all honors classes but I am not doing that well in them. I am not asking for anything about how maybe I should drop down or that I need to work harder, I know that already. I am just curious as to how much freshman year actually matters to colleges, whether it is just as important as every other year or if most places don’t care about it. If everyone who sees this could reply that would be great! Thanks!
Most colleges look at your GPA starting at 9th grade. Some only look at it starting in 10th grade. Check each schools website.
If freshman GPA improves in later years that will be a plus.
Although given your screen name I would not be optimistic about your chances for any college.
Definitely agree that it is important to most colleges, but can be overcome if you continue to work hard and improve.
Please see this thread from a couple of days ago. This was just asked. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1969610-importance-of-freshmen-grades-if-any-p1.html
