<p>So I'm "in the mix" for admission to CMC, but with such high selectivity that doesn't seem to matter much. However, I'm from Illinois and made the trip out last spring to visit CMC. Do many people do this/ does it help admissions at all? I also made sure to write about it in the supplement when it asks about visits/ why you're interested (I also made it clear that CMC is a top pick for me). </p>
<p>One other bit of info that actually swings the other way is that I didn't notice the deadline for scheduling interviews until a couple days before. I contacted the 3 Illinois alum: 2 straight out couldn't; 1 almost could but got caught up working in Minnesota, but said he'd tell CMC I tried to interview. Is there any good/bad there?</p>
