How much does rank of CC play into transfer admissions?

hi, this is a bit of a weird question. I am in my final semester of CC and am applying for transfer after the fall semester. I just found out that my CC is literally in top 3 worst community colleges in the United States. I suspected that I wasn’t getting a top quality education, but wouldn’t have guessed it was one of the worst in the US, because it’s a very large campus, highly respected in the area, etc. I have a 4.0 GPA and i’m not too worried about getting into my transfer schools, i’m just curious if people will look at this, perhaps think less of my GPA, etc…?

PLEASE no comments about me not getting any aid as a transfer, I get it on every post where I talk about transferring, even ones where it’s irrelevant. I have my finances under control and can afford college.

I don’t think that it will hurt you much, and it might not hurt you at all. Admissions is going to understand that many students have financial restrictions that require them to go to the CC closest to where they live.

It sounds like you have done very well, perhaps as well as is possible, given the financial and school choice restrictions that you were faced with.
