How much does sophomore year affect when you apply for colleges?

Right now, my sophomore year's not going so well.
I have a C in math and a C+ in AP US Gov't. It's driving me crazy. It will most likely be in my report card grade. /:
My gpa's probably in it's all time low right now, around 3.5(weighted), maybe a little less.

From my previous counselors, they're always telling me how sophomore, year will affect which college will accept you. I don't know how true this is. I figured it's just do well on your junior year and your senior year.
I am trying right now, but it takes me a while to absorb the stuff for math and gov't.

lol senior doesn’t count that much. It’s mainly freshman-junior year.

Keep trying bro, you have 2-3 months.

Junior year > Sophomore year > Freshman year.

However, sophomore year does count, and for a fairly significant amount.

Even if you do get a couple Cs, that’s not gonna put you out of the running for good schools if your overall GPA is still fairly high. So, just relax and try to pull them up. Like Daxlo said, you have 2-3 months, and after that you have junior year to shine.
