I heard somewhere that Georgetown is one of few universities that really stress the interview process. I recently had an interview with a local Alumni committee chair and I believe she is really pushing for me to get into the school. Considering that fact that I am not a clear-admit student, her recommendation really works to my advantage. But I am wondering: could it tip the scales to an acceptance letter?

There’s really no way to tell. A good interview will help, of course, but Georgetown really looks at the whole person. It’ll come down to your application package as a whole. If the rest of your application is weak, the interview won’t be enough to get you in. If your application is relatively strong, the interview will only add to that strength.

No way to know until letters come out. Good luck!
