Were both planning on attending College. It is quite stressful on my family to get 2 kids through college. I was wondering how much aid I would get from something like this.

Call your FAFSA EFC X for with one child in school. Then since you have a twin, your FAFSA EFC will be X/2 for each child, I think, unless one child makes significantly more than the other or something.

My boyfriend has a twin, and he and his twin received very substantial aid and scholarships, though this is just one case and I do not know the general rule.

You won't specifically get aid for having a twin. But for FAFSA schools the parent part of the EFC (Estimated Family Contribution) is divided equally between the number of students in college at the same time. How much that EFC is depends on the family income and assets so there is no way of saying what sort of aid you would get.

Schools that require CSS/profile may handle their 'EFC' differently.

Finaid has EFC calculators that you enter the financial info and it gives you an estimated EFC.
