I have basically decided that when I apply for college, Emory University is my top choice. I will apply Early Decision. The thing is, I'm only a Sophomore in high school and have two years until I apply. I know Emory admissions operates partially off of demonstrated interest, so my question is, how much interest should I demonstrate, and when should I start? Would multiple trips to admission information sessions or campus visits help? In fact, today in my area Emory is hosting an information session. Would it help to start going now?

If the information session is convenient for you to attend, then go. The benefit of starting on your search early is that you have lots of time to learn, ask questions, and think about what you are looking for.
However, I don’t think that someone who attends three information sessions instead of one is any better off in terms of demonstrating interest.
I also think that a rising sophomore needs a wider perspective than choosing an ED option at this moment in time.
