I seem to struggle with this every year. I can never decide how many AP classes to take to get that perfect balance where I am challenged but not overworked. My school is switching to a block schedule and I have these classes down as classes I am definetly taking. The left class is 1st semester and the class on the right is 2nd semester. Some of the APs I am taking are year long, even with block schedule.
1st period- AP Econ. AP ???
2nd period- AP Stats. Latin 3
3rd period- AP Chem. AP Chem
4th period- AP Lang. AP Lang.
I took AP Bio and AP U.S. gov freshman year making a 4 and a 5 respectively. Sophomore year I took AP Physics 1, AP Computer Science, and AP World History. I ranked 1st in my class, Vice President of my 4H club, and on my marching band’s leadership. In the past I have been able to handle the workload well and actually enjoy it but my question is what should I fill that final slot with? Should I take an elective? What about AP Euro or AP Psych? Thanks.
I did both Euro and Psych this year. If your more of a science sort of person, do Psych but if your more of a history person, do Euro. They’re both great classes.
As a Junior, I had 2 AP classes, 1 DE and 5 Regular (one of them was a half year online). Next Year, I will have 4 AP Classes (3 are online), 1 DE enrollment class (half year), and 4 Regular (3 of those are half years). Their is no way to determine it, you either dive in fully or you don’t.
Well, you know how you performed with your current schedule, so that gives you a starting point. Based on your past courses, this looks doable.
Question - is AP Econ both micro or macro? If so, that seems to be a lot to jam into a semester even with block scheduling. That’s the only one that looks questionable to me at this point.
