HELP

How do you know that your colleges have not received your scores yet?

I would like to offer you one possible explanation that involves no need to panic: Many admissions offices have been closed for two weeks over the christmas holidays and won’t reopen until next week. It’s entirely possible that your scores have reached their recipients but simply haven’t been processed yet. That’s a possibility if your only reason for concern is that an online status check does not show that your scores have been received.

Here’s what i would do: wait until next week and then contact your colleges. Tell them that ETS reports that your scores were sent on Dec 14 and ask if you should be concerned that they have not been recorded as “received” yet.

In addition to the actual score report that you request, colleges can go online and access your score anytime for free. So - even if your score reports did somehow get lost - colleges do have access to your score if the need arises. (They may choose not do that yet if they think that they simply haven’t had time to process your scores through the proper channels yet. It’s too time-consuming to retrieve scores individually for hundreds of panic-y applicants.)

Meanwhile, see if you can get through the scores-by-phone line to get your scores. I just tried calling myself and the line was not busy. (I don’t know where you live, but international mail can take several weeks to be delivered. It’s even slower around christmas.)

Also, don’t wait for an email response from ETS. You will get one eventually but you might have to wait for several weeks. (Personal experience.) If you need to communicate with them, do it by phone.
