how much money are you getting and what was your EFC from fafsa?

<p>my efc is about 5200 this year (last year it was like 18k, i got no money from UIC, stayed at home) but now this year my dad made less than half of what he did last year. also i got another sibling in college. so im wondering what to expect from financial aid now im planning to transfer to UIUC?</p>

<p>also i hear people not getting much but is that because they are expected to contribute a lot or is are the U of I's just not giving out much?</p>

<p>I’d say just wait for the financial aid offer. If it’s good enough, then accept it. No one knows your personal financial situation, or how it translates in terms of the financial aid that they offer. Contact financial aid directly, and ask them when your award letter will go out. It’s gotta be within the next week or two, if you’ve gotten you fafsa in on time.</p>
