We all know engineering students have to be up at ungodly hours, finishing up projects or problem sets. So How much sleep do you get per night? I average about ~5-6 hours.

0-14 hours, usually 6-9.

Around 6-8.

i think everyone should be able to get 8-9 hours of sleep, unless you have part time job or something.

Or unless you're a genius and have only 15 credits.

Weekends - 9-10 hours
Weeknights - some 6-7, some 3-4 (all nighters), never more than 8 though.
I try to take 1-2 hour naps that afternoon when I get less than 6 in a night

5-6 hours now.

I used to get 3-4 hours my first two years.

around 4-5 (I'm a junior in hs)

4-8. In that range from Sun-Thursday night. I've obviously had much fewer than 4 if called for though. It's usually only associated to times before a project due date or test.

about 8 hours.

Usually around 7. I don't ever remember losing sleep because of academics. I tend to get worked up if I have too many assignments hanging over my head and start finishing some of them ridiculously early.

Shoebox has it just about right.

undergrad: 4-6 hrs (had a 25 hr/week part time job)
grad: 6-8 hrs (no job, just TA duties)

weekends: up to 16 hrs but usually limited to 12

Usually 7, maybe 8, rarely less than 6. I do have an internship during the semester though that takes up 15 hours a week, sometimes more.

5-10 depending on the day. Usually I try to get 7-8 but if I forgot to do HW or I get distracted (most likely), I'll get 6.5ish.

you guys sleep a lot...

4-6 every night. Exams + projects = no sleep.

About 8 hrs a night. Two one hour naps during the day. Test weeks a bit lower.

iloveagoodbrew: You sleep a lot. In college, next year, I will try to get 9-10 hours every night.

^I have been told that. It helps me recover from my intense workouts.

I've had less than 5 every night since sunday night for the past week...since i have no classes tomorrow, i sort of get to sleep in. but i'm going out of town, so i have a tremendous amount of work to get done :( no sleep again tonight
