I usually get less than 4 hours a night. If I am lucky, I can get 6 hours. It's so bad. I always tell myself that "I'm going to sleep much earlier this time!" But I always end up breaking my promise.

I know --- that is really, really bad. I try SO hard to get more sleep. But... a lot of it is my fault. (I tend to put things off, haha)

My daily schedule:
1:30 - school gets out. I go and do some sort of minor after-school activity. (Student Council, Amnesty International, etc.)
2:00 - 5:00 = Jazz choir. Oh boy. This just eats up my schedule.
5:00 - 6:00 = Jazz band
6:00 - 6:30 = Dinner! Some fast food or whatnot. Gotta gobble everything up quickly.
6:30 - 8:30 or 9:30 (depends how close we are to performance) - Theater
9:30 - Get home
9:30 - 11:00 = Shower, eat a late dinner, PROCRASTINATE! Whooo!
11:00 pm - 3:00 am = Study, homework. (Gots to learn learn learn!)
3:00 - 6:00 am = Sleep!

This is how my schedule normally looks. On Mondays and Wednesdays, my schedule is a bit different, with different activities occupying the same slots.

But I think next year--- my senior year--- I am dropping jazz choir. I just can't do it! I've lost way too much weight and sleep.

Well, what about you guys? Am I the only one who gets about zero sleep? I am sure there are others out there like me. :-)

I get lots of sleep. I'm a fast worker, and I'm quite good at BSing busy work. I've always believed that when it comes to sleep or homework, sleep wins. My health is more important, and it also makes it easier to concentrate in class when I'm well-rested. It's been my experience that teachers don't really care that much about homework as long as I do well enough in the class to prove that I still understand the material.

PorkFriEdRicE-- Is it really necessary to have jazz choir rehearsal for 3 hours a day?

Your schedule is crazy (I'm a mom, by the way). How can you learn ANYTHING when you are so sleep deprived? Where are your parents, and what are they thinking letting you go on like this?

Your school lets out at 1:30?! You're lucky. School for me starts at 7:30 but I get there an hour before, and lets out at around 3-4, depending on what day it is. Then sometimes I have softball training until 6 and I get home around 7... but I sleep around 10:30 or maybe earlier and wake up 5:30. The days before deadlines though I usually sleep around 5 hours. I study at school mostly so at home I'm usually at the computer or watching TV.

I graduated (just this March) one of the top students in my year, btw...and I sleep 7-9 hours a day. You should really sleep more. You're killing yourself. Try not to procrastinate.

I sleep a solid 7-8 hours of weekdays. If I'm tired, I can't concentrate, and I get most of my information from focusing in class (not studying). I go to clubs for maybe 1-3 hours (later if I have to, and I don't have a lot of homework), and spend 3-6 hours on homework/studying. Every once in a while I find myself bs'ing things because I have to go out some afternoons.

4-6. It's not because I'm doing homework, though. It's just that I have stuff going on after school and I like to have down time to talk to friends and such when I get home. And THEN I start homework.

I get as much sleep as I need to function. Do what works for you, you know?
