How much will a not perfect GPA hurt me when applying to elite colleges?

I'm a junior in high school. I go to a large public high school and have a 3.93 unweighted GPA in an IB program. This gives a class rank of about 40 out of 500. I have (in my opinion) very strong extracurriculars. Just to highlight a few:
-I'm a USABO semifinalist
-I won a few awards at ISEF
-I've been first author on two published scientific papers
-I play varsity tennis
-I placed second in my state for viola (solo and ensemble)
-I am the co-founder of a small non-profit that plays music in hospitals, nursing homes, special education classes, etc.
-I have toured Europe with my youth symphony
-I've performed at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center
When applying to elite colleges such as the University of Chicago, WUSTL, and perhaps some ivies, how will my less than perfect GPA affect my application? I didn't think a 3.93 was bad, but I heard that lots of kids with 4.0s get rejected.
P.S. I haven't taken the SAT yet, but I got a 232 on my PSAT last year. (Hoping for Merit Award this year!)
Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Lots of people with 4.0s do get rejected. But there are not that many people who have done all you’ve done. It’s a pretty darn impressive list. You’ll be okay.

Lots of people with 4.0’s get rejected because far more students with 4.0’s apply to these schools than the schools are able to accept. With a 3.9 and good SAT scores you are a viable candidate. There are never any guarantees for any one applying to the top tier schools.
