I'll be a senior next year and I also have a very sharp upward trend. My cum GPA is 3.2 and this is how it stacks. Freshman: 2.3 soph: 3.0 junior: 3.9
Do I have a chance if getting into cal states like Fullerton and long beach? Or even UC's like Santa Cruz and riverside?
I also have a 1850 sat.

Definitely

More info please? lol

I say that the schools are now like high matches. maybe matches because of you SAT

thanks futurefocused. Anyone else have answers? This has so little views and replys :(

Bump bump

:D

goood i think you have a good chance at both of those… add some safeties (auto admit state schools) and reaches (BU?) to the mix. it also depends on your ECs for some schools. also you might have minority going for you (“nigeriankid”).

chance back ? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1532897-linguistics-chances-updated.html

OH. those chances are assuming you’re instate by the way

What is your UC GPA ? Freshman gpa doesn’t usually count. For CSU’s major, and in the past at least, service area also matters. For UC’s, the school (I.e. arts and sciences vs engineering) sometimes matters . Consider CSU Pomona.

You COULD get admitted to those schools (You’re GPA is in between the 25th and 50th percentiles) and your good SAT score helps out as well. However, admission also depends on ECs, community service, recs, etc.

My UC gpa is about 3.5 My Ec’s are pretty bleak but i heard uc and especially cal states dont really care. Like I said im not aiming very high, Cal state long beach is my main concern.

You’re fine for Cal State LB as long as your UC GPA doesn’t slip and if you’re within its service area.
