How much will this hurt me?

<p>Alright...this was stupid of me.
But I waited till the last second to submit my Eugene McDermott application, and I only glanced it over very quickly before submitting.
What I failed to realize was that somehow the last word of two of my essays was cut off. I feel like an idiot for not noticing this.
Is this type of thing something that will break me?</p>

Otherwise they were good ): I'm a talented writer but screwed this up for sure...</p>

I liked them. I think they showed that I'm unique and smart, but creative. </p>

<p>Resume:
Well-formatted. </p>

<p>Recs:
Academic - great. From my AP calc teacher who is notoriously hard but put me in her top 5 students of all time.
Volunteer - haven't read it, but she wrote it based on my resume so it's accurate if nothing else.
Personal/EC - awesome. Written by my piano teacher and is about how I've dedicated myself to my school and music.
Counselor - no idea, but I'm always nominated for things by her so I assume it's good. </p>

<p>I just really want this and now I'm scared I completely blew my chances because of the essay. Will they look past it?</p>

<p>Yeah it was a character count :frowning:
It was a 1,000 character limit, and when I was checking them on MS word they were all a couple characters under. But somehow when I pasted them into the boxes, something changed, and it cut off the last letters on a couple essays. :/</p>

<p>The essay section had 5 essays and 5 tweets to write. They gave prompts for the essays and then the 5 tweets were just however you wanted to represent yourself and your life without simply listing your activities. It was a nice prompt, I think it’ll weed out the very uncreative people. </p>

<p>Haha I just want this opportunity more than anything, but I started my application so late in the game. I was trying to study for calc the past few nights and I had a band thing last night and was submitting literally at the last minute.</p>
