Probably just once a day. Mostly, I get spam/shopping advertisements/facebook updates so it’s not a huge deal. I check it on my iPhone whenever I have good reception (because the reception where I live SUCKS).

I have my Gmail inbox constantly open in a separate tab, so basically whenever I’m on my computer. I don’t obsessively check it, but I do get a convenient (1) in the name of the tab (both in the taskbar of the computer (if gmail is the active tab) and the tab bar in chrome) so that I can see as soon as an email comes in. Same with Facebook and (this past week or so) Google+, although that doesn’t give me the (1) like FB and Gmail.

PS, I’m high school class of 2012.

When I’m at work I check my email 2-3 times an hour and my phone auto-updates every 15 minutes. This is mainly due to my co-workers who all sit within a 15-30 second walking distance from my desk decide to email me asking if I finished with so and so project yet.

On a work day, at night, I’ll check it once when I get home and once when I go to sleep. Then I’ll check it once in the morning. On the weekend I tend not to check it until Sunday afternoon. As I stated earlier I do have auto-update on my phone so I’ll glance at incoming emails when I’m not working, but I only obsessively check over it during work hours.

I’m on my e-mail a lot, but partially it’s because I get it on my phone, and partially because I don’t have a job/much to do right now, so I’m on the computer a lot. When I was working at my internship full-time earlier this summer, once or twice a day.

I use mine pretty often - there’s usually a tab open on my browser.
I didn’t use it that often when I had a Hotmail; there were too many ads but with Gmail I use it a lot more frequently - I use it for business, classes I have online HW assignments, talking to friends. I’m probably one out of millions who doesn’t have a Facebook. Out of my own free will too, LOL.

I have 4 different emails I use for various things and I check them all pretty regularly. Although my main email I check very often throughout the day because I get the bulk of my mail on that one.

I leave my facebook, gmail, and google+ accounts open pretty much 24/7. My school e-mail forwards everything to my gmail account.

OK, not ALL the time…but all the time I’m at my computer.

Daily, but I really don’t “use” email that often… only for thank-yous to relatives or to communicate with my boss.

I’m in high school but I leave my email on 24/7 so I check it whenever I’m at my computer (which is a lot of the time)

I check on my computer occasionally and I always check only phone since I’m logged on 24/7.

Emails come to my blackberry directly, so I check them from my phone. But even before I had blackberry, I always went on my email.

I check my email quite often. I receive around 10 emails per day and send around 2 on average.

I have both my general email and school email set up on my phone. Whenever I get an email I’m notified instantly.

I check my main gmail account daily, probably more often than I check facebook. I have another one which I use for my school’s student government activities, which I check like once every other day or so.

I check it more than 20 times a day

upwards of 5 times a day on a normal day, and maybe 15 or more if I’m involved in an email exchange of some kind, sending things to myself, whatever. I get important information about work, classes, and the university overall, and also some personal communications.
when we have classes delayed due to snow, it’s announced via email. you definitely want to know about that. I always have my email open in the first window of safari on my ipod, so I can read msgs like that without getting out of bed.

I’m a rising high school senior. I have a Gmail tab pinned to the left of my tab bar in Chrome that updates continuously (I typically get 5-10 messages a day, but it’s constantly checking), and mail gets pushed to my Android phone constantly as well. Yes, I love Google.

I always open my email in a new tab and keep it there, no matter what else I’m doing on my pc.

Also because of my iPhone, I check it whenever I get a new email, so pretty often.

I use it only a couple times a week. Technology does make everything so much faster.
