To each his own, but I don’t see where not repeatedly washing your pants/jeans is saving money. It’s not like a few jeans takes up 7 washer machines. And it’s not like you have to wash your jeans every day. But whatever. I’m not debating with anyone about washing jeans. Wash them as much as you want.

Normally, once, twice if the outfit looks cute with a certain pair or I need to do laundry, 3 times if I’m too lazy to start a wash

i change the grease outta my underwear every once in a while

Every 2-3 weeks.

I own four pairs of jeans, one pair of khakis and no shorts. If I wear each pair of my pants only one day a week without then I will run out of pants after five days, forcing me to do laundry after five days. If I were to wear pair of jeans twice and the khakis only once, I would get nine days of wear out of them; that’s usually enough time to go through most of my clothes. If I wear two pairs of those jeans a third day, that allows me eleven days before I need to wash my clothes. The less often you have to wash your clothes, the less often you have to pay for laundry—i.e. the more money you save. Also, jeans wear and fade slightly with each washing so the more times you wash them the faster they will wear out and the sooner you will have to buy new jeans.

I wash them as I need to, like whenever they get a stain or if they seem to be losing their fit and need to be reshaped in the wash. Probably wear them 2-3 times, depending, but some are favorites over others, so some have to be worn and washed more. I own like 13 or 14 pairs of jeans (plus 5 or 6 tan/khaki pants- yeah, too many, we wore uniforms for high school, including tan pants- not the uniform kind, you could buy them at any store you wanted, so they’re regular tan/khaki pants and those are the ones I have left after throwing out some already!), I don’t even know off the top of my head, so there’s not really a point where I ‘need’ to wash them every few days, do it whenever I run out of good pairs to wear and don’t feel like wearing the not-so-favorite pairs.

^
Hahahaha.

^I didn’t pack all 13 or 14 or whatever. I’m leaving some at home too- duh, I have to have clothes here also when I’m home for Christmas, Thanksgiving breaks, etc.

Yeah, you’re not packing all 13 or 14…you’re leaving 3 or 4 behind and ONLY taking 10 :P

^Yeah, good guess, exactly what I took for jeans. 5 skinny jeans and 5 regular, but I wear jeans a lot. Plus tan/khaki pants, black skinny jeans too, and black and gray dress pants. I used to have tan skinny jeans too, but they got too small :(

Jeans are meant to be washed infrequently. In fact, my pair of Levis came with a recommendation to wash them twice a year!

What about jeggings? Ones that are particularly like normal jeans but softer?

Like the ones Selena Gomez is wearing in this pic

I wash my jeans every time I wear them, but I’m beginning to think I should break myself of that habit. My jeans do wear out very quickly, and I don’t think they are noticeably dirty after one wear unless it is hot and I have been sweating. I just got used to wearing any article of clothing once before washing while living with parents who smoke, because if I don’t wash between wears I REEK if I’ve been around them at all.

I have broken my habit of washing hoodies after every wear, but the jeans thing has still stuck… I would do a lot less laundry if I didn’t wash them so often.

Worn 2-3 times before a wash. I only own, like, 4 pairs of jeans, so I try and wear them a little more often.

I wash jeans after I wear them 1-3 times, as well. I try not to wear a single piece of clothing for two days in a row or to consecutive sessions of a class (ie if I wear a certain pair of jeans to math on Monday and the next time that class meets is Wednesday, I’ll wear a different pair of jeans Tuesday and a third pair on Wednesday before switching back to the first pair on Thursday).

If, for any reason, I can’t do my laundry for a week, I sometimes wear jeans up to six times before washing. Of course, any pair that gets noticeably dirty gets thrown in the wash pile immediately.

Same holds for my “outer-shirt”, as well. I generally wear a dress shirt open over a random tee, and I’m not going to iron seven dress shirts every week.

I have oily skin so i dont feel comfortable wearing a pair more then once without a wash, on occasion ill wear a pair twice. but i barely wear jeans and prefer nylons/cargo shorts.

2-4. I have a few pair of jeans obviously though so I usually do a rotation type of deal.

honestly I only wash them like 1 a month or if I spill something on them. I don’t like washing them often because I don’t want to lose the color

I wash them once a week, so after I wear them 3 times or so.

^^About once a month is how I do it too. Jeans don’t really need to be washed all that often. Unless you spill something on them or do something to get them really dirty they can go through a few wears.
