How PSAT scores help my chances??

<p>I will be applying for my junior years to Hotchkiss, Berkshire, and Taft. I just got my PSAT scores and did overall well, or at least better than my SSAT scores. For the PSAT I got 83 percentile in Critical Reading, 86 percentile in Math, and 71 percentile in Writing Skills. In the SSAT I got 64 percentile overall. Although my SSAT scores are not the best with decent PSAT scores will that overshadow my SSAT scores?</p>
