For a long time, I’ve seen comments on how unreliable college confidential is. I understand that the people who read and comment are most likely not the most knowledgeable in things like admissions, etc. but have there ever been cases where comments were (perhaps deliberately) really misleading?

Anytime anyone says, “You’ll get in.” THEY DON’T KNOW. Their opinion means NOTHING.
People that give exact percentages for chances of admission. I could type with my eyes closed and be just as accurate.
There are no guarantees on any site. I don’t see what a poster would achieve by being deliberately misleading, but I suppose they are out there. I prefer to take people at face value – but with a grain of salt as well. Of course, you can always believe anything I say.
