I don't think one of my teacher recs will reach Vanderbilt by the postmark deadline. I haven't submitted my online application yet. Should I just not submit? Is it a waste of my money? Or will Vanderbilt still look at my app? Should I submit anyway and pray that they overlook it? Need some help...

Submit everything, and call to inform them that one of your recs is running behind schedule.

I'd submit the app.

Of course you should submit it. It's okay if one of the recs is a little late - as Luxar said, just call and let them know about it.

I'll call and let them know. i don't know if its going to be a "little late" though. I'm on break right now so by the time I get the rec and mail it the postmark date will probably be 5-6 days past the deadline. I'm crossing my fingers. That app cost me 50 *in bucks to submit, I'd be *ed if they just threw my app out, but i guess its my own damn fault for being lazy.
