How specific do you have to be on the "what is your major?" prompt?

I ask because at UCB I am applying for Political Economy and at UCLA I am applying for Polisci. I want to be able to go in depth on how my interest developed but how do I account for the different majors at different campuses?

you either incorporate how both majors will help you in your career goals or you write about how you plan on double majoring/minoring in the other field

honestly it’s 11/25…you application is due in 5 days. Did you recently decide to apply to UC’s?

No, I pretty much finished the other parts of the app I am just starting the Personal Statement because I had so other homework to complete. I tend to be a last minute type of person lol but I do well most of the time. Thanks for the input though, I have had an idea of what I want to write about just gotta work out the small details.

not all of us need to spend months on the personal statement… it’s a couple pages talking about yourself

You could be vague and just talk about politics.

Think about how the majors are similar and focus on that.
